Art Therapy
Art therapy is part of treatment plans at Galloway Recovery. You work with a therapist to make something with your hands. Drawings, paint, collage. It gives feelings a form when words fall short. For many people, that opens up progress talk alone cannot reach.
How Art Therapy Works in Treatment
Art therapy uses drawing, painting, and other hands-on work to reach feelings that are hard to say out loud. A session is simple. You make something while a licensed clinician talks with you about it. No art skill is needed.
It helps you or your loved one process trauma, manage cravings, and lower anxiety. The images often say what words cannot.
This is not a standalone fix. Our clinicians fold art therapy into the full treatment plan. As you make progress, they adjust the approach to match where you are.
