What Is Treatment Like?
Most people picture the worst before they arrive. The reality is more structured. Treatment starts with intake and a full assessment. From there, we build a plan around your needs. Days mix individual and group therapy, real meals, and downtime. Family gets involved when you're ready.
What Is Treatment Like, The Details
Treatment starts the day someone arrives. The first step is intake and assessment. Staff review medical history, current substance use, mental health, and any medications. This shapes everything that follows.
Next comes a personalized treatment plan. No two are identical. Your loved one's plan reflects their diagnosis, history, and goals.
A typical day has structure. Here is what most days include:
- Morning check-in and breakfast
- Individual therapy or group sessions
- Lunch, followed by more group work or skills classes
- Free time in the afternoon or evening for rest, reading, or exercise
- Dinner and a closing group or reflection
Meals are provided. Downtime is built in on purpose. Recovery takes energy, and people need room to process what they learn.
Family involvement matters here. You can take part in family sessions when it fits the plan. This helps you understand the treatment and rebuild trust at home.
