Client Guidebook

This guidebook covers what to expect once you arrive. It explains the daily structure, phone and visitor policies (which vary by program), and how to work with your case manager. Families get a clear picture of how they stay involved. Read it before your first day.

Client Guidebook, The Details

The first week at Galloway Recovery follows a set rhythm. Knowing what to expect makes the transition easier for you and your loved one.

Days are structured from morning to evening. A typical schedule includes:

  • Morning check-in and group therapy
  • Individual sessions with your assigned clinician
  • Educational workshops on relapse prevention and coping skills
  • Free time, meals, and rest built into each day

Phone and visitor policies are not the same across every program. Detox has tighter limits than residential or outpatient care. Ask your case manager for the exact rules that apply to your loved one's program.

Your case manager is your main point of contact. They coordinate treatment, track progress, and answer logistical questions. Bring insurance details, medication lists, and any court paperwork to your first meeting.

Families stay involved in real ways. That can include scheduled family therapy, progress updates (with a signed release), and education about supporting recovery at home. Talk to the case manager about how you want to participate. They will tell you what is possible at each stage.
